This study conducted to verify the effect of participation in an auto camping as
family leisure on family leisure satisfaction, life satisfaction, and family
relationship satisfaction. The key findings of this study are as follows: First, it is
found that the age of auto camping participants is mostly ranged in the thirties
to forties and fathers take lead it. Second, it is indicated that family auto
camping participation group has meaningfully higher satisfaction of family
leisure, life, and family relationship than non-participation group. Third, it is
considered that the more numbers of participation in the family auto camping,
the higher satisfaction of family leisure, life, and family relationship. Forth,
while leisure time, leisure expenses, and family income did not have significant
effect on family leisure satisfaction, whether people participate in family auto
camping and how frequently they have family leisure activities were meaningful
factors to assess the family leisure satisfaction. In particular, it is shown that
whether they attend family auto camping is more influential to the family
leisure satisfaction. The outcomes of this study are expected to be utilized as a
basic information to improve the quality of family leisure and to vitalize the
auto camping.
