For Western philosophy, was called Phiosophy as love of wisdom. Primarily, this saying is caused by knowledge, that is to say, desire of cognition. This definition is possible within epistemology and ontology centric philosophy. A longtime, western philosophy was developmented as such this definition. But Levinas, definite philosophy otherwise than philosophy as thinking. For this thesis, I have reviewed of a concept of Levinas's philosophy and philosophical background draw out such concept of Levinas's philosophy. And throughout this process, I will also examine of levinas using his terminology. Through this work, we will be understand of the essential meaning of Levinas's philosophy. And will be revealed what is effect of philosophical shock of his phiosophy.
