This study aims to promote youth mentoring in Korea through analysing of youth mentoring programs in the UK. Youth mentoring in the UK became flourished in the middle of 1990s and were provided by various organizations. Local government and NGOs have different mentoring systems according to young people's needs. As a result, this study suggests :1. Youth mentoring should be the delivery method for youth policy rather than individual programs. 2. There should be a national system or organization for youth mentoring to support NGOs and programs. 3. Mentoring programs should include many different types of mentees due to young people's various desires. 4. Mentoring approval system needs to be developed in order to promote mentoring programs. 5. Young people needs various mentoring programs not only supporting young people but also developing young people's key competency. 6. Mentoring experts such as youth workers and policy makers are required. 7. Mentoring should be regarded as important national youth policy.
