The concept, content and process of school restructuring were reviewed to get the idea from school restructuring. School restructuring was started from ivorpmi school education. The concept of school restructuring was defined as many ways such as “effort of nation and local community to innovate school structure, management, curriculum and teaching content” and “metaphor of education change to get the new educational policy.” School restructuring is decentralization and self management, teachers’ professionalization, and enlargement of parents’ participation and choice. Decentralization and self management is to delegate the authority of central government to local government and school for managing school according to it's environment Improving teachers’ professionalization IS to get more knowledge about student development and curriculum for diverse education. The enlargement of parents’ participation and choice is to consider parents’ nees in school education. To achieve these contents, visions, objectives and plans are established and resources are prepared‘ If there are conflicts the poilcy should be provided to handle them. School restructuring is to innovate education through restructuring school. It is not central power but local authority. It is not the uniformity but the diversity. The concept and idea of school restructuring are not well known in Korea. The future society will be global and diverse. Local authority will be more useful instead of central power. Therefore school restructuring should be more researched in Korea.
