This study was accomplished in order to investigate the role of women’s university in a learning society. society is demanding that universities participate in a learning society in ways that go well beyond present approaches. So higher education responds the demands of the learning society, women’s universities, too, face many challenges. Adult & continuing education for women should be focused on women’s education from a feminist point of view. Here women’s education is education which is possessed by or owned by women. It is for women only and designed intentionally for that purpose. Therefore women’s universities have to try to develop the various adult programs on women’s education. In conclusion, there are some suggestions as follows. Women’s universities take the responsibility for serving the community and offer open education for women. It is desirable to give women opportunities for self-understanding or learning experiences as an educational program with multi-disciplinary approach. And it is necessary that university authorities establish an operating structure for general education curriculum. Also the curriculum emphasizes core abilities deemed necessary for women in professional careers.
