This study is aimed at analyzing the current trends on theories of intuition research and driving of its educational implications. The theories of intuition or insight have generally been considered in several perspectives such as Western philosophy, Traditional psychology, Eastern traditions, and Transpersonal psychology. But these approaches have not appropriately explore in the nature of intuition. The cognitive psychology has lots of advantages over these traditional approaches. The emphases of the cognitive psychology in search of intuition are placed on the computational approach. Thus, this computational approach on intuition was reviewed. The computational approach is largely divided into two branches: informational processing models and Parallel Distributed Processing[PDP] models. The informational processing models are trying to understand intuition as informational processing stages in various models of intuition. But these models are fundamentally based on Hadamard(1949)' four stages theory : preparation, incubation, illumination, and verification. But, the key difference among different models is lied on the treatments of incubation and illumination. This suggests that any model cannot adequately explain the phenomena on intuition. And Recently, the new shift of psychological approach of Connectionist or PDP models seems to be able to understand the nature of intuition more precisely. These PDP models are discussed. And educational implications on intuition are also discussed.
