코스웨어의 효과에 대한 메타분석

이 연구는 메타분석의 방법으로 코스웨어적용 교수법과 강의식 교수법의 비교를 통하여, 코스웨어의 적용효과를 알아본 것이다. 연구목적은 크게 두가지로 분류된다. 우선 코스웨어 적용 교수법에 대한 전체 평균효과크기를 알아보고, 본 연구에서 설정하고 있는 변인에 따른 평균효과크기를 밝히는 것이다. 이 연구에서 설정된 변인은 모두 6가지로 실험상황, 교과유형, 학교급, 성적집단, 코스웨어개발자, 적용기간이다. 코스웨어 적용 교수법의 평균효과크기는 .45이며, 코스웨어 사용집단이 강의식 집단보다 약 67%ile의 수업효과를 얻고 있음이 밝혀졌다. 또한 실험상황, 교과유형, 학교급, 성적집단, 적용기간의 변인 내에서 유의미한 차이가 나타났다. 이러한 결과들을 바탕으로 향후 코스웨어 개발에 대한 방향성을 제언하였다.

The major purpose of this study was to analyze the courseware instruction and the lecture instruction, and to find the effectivness of courseware to academic achivement. In this study integrated 45 researchs(unpublished doctoral dissertation 40, journal printed 5) which reduced the initial pool of 204 titles, 102 ES(effect size)s measured. Variables established in this study are 1) experimental setting(classroom setting, proxy setting), 2) a course of lesson(mathmatics, industry & business, science), 3) school grade(elemantary school, middle school, high school), 4) ability of student(high, low), 5) courseware developer(researcher develop, expert agency develop), 6) applied term(less than 1 weeks, 2-4 weeks, more than 5 weeks). The average effect size of courseware was .45, so that courseware applied group had the effect of 67%ile. Five variables(experimental setting, a course of lesson, school grade, ability of student, applied term - p <0.5) make a significant difference.

shows the result of this study. This paper is concluded as follows : First, courseware is more powerful in the proxy setting than classroom setting. Second, courseware applied to scince class makes high effectiveness. Third, courseware is more effective to the middle school students. Fourth, courseware has more effect to the lower in the treated group. Fifth, 5 weeks or more is needed for the most pratical use of courseware. Sixth, program to maintain the high quality of coureware is required.
