This was the first follow-up study intended to gather information on the functioning of the home-based parent education program. After leaving the program for 6 months, whether the program mothers and children would continue to function in the domains of home environment stimulation, recognition and performance of parenting role, and social maturity as they did well at the close of the pro-gram was the main question. It also intended to find relationships between children's social maturity and HOME and recognition and performance of parenting role. Parent interviews were conducted with 28 mothers who had 21-44 months old children. The t-test and Pearson's r were applied to analyze the data. There were no differences in the scores of children's social maturity, HOME and recog-nition and performance of parenting role between the two points of time. Rather, some of them were changed positively. Some causal relationships between children's social maturity and HOME and parenting role were infered.
