The main aim of the article is explore the theories of respect for persons and students in context of schooling. To this article analysis the Atwell's and Chambers' theory of respect for persons and students.
The main contents are as followings;
1〉 investigating the nature of persons, 2〉 analysis of the concept of owed respect and appraisal respect, 3〉 investigating the basic concepts of the recongnition of rights model and the personal sympathy model, 4〉 investigating the Chambers' theory of respect for persons and students, 5〉 aguing the practical suggestions of those theories for improvement of schooling.
In this analysis, the main ideas which I go for improving school education are that students are an idiosyncratic individuals and the school teachers must have sympathy with their students' interests and aims. In adition to, the school administration and the political policies are to be designed to actulize students' basic rights and teachers' fundamental dignity.
