This paper is designed to understand the meaning and essence of the
Korean style painting art therapy for middle-aged women. The focus of the
research is “What are the meaning and essence of the Korean style painting
art therapy for middle-aged women?” Twelve middle-aged women,
44-year-old in average and chosen through the in-depth interviews after
Korean style painting art therapy program, participated in the study. It
applied Giorgi’s research methodology among phenomenological qualitative
researches and eventually resulted in thirteen main subjects. These main
subjects consist of ⋅⋅⋅⋅<‘Energy’ and
‘spirit’ from paintings>⋅⋅⋅
⋅⋅⋅⋅ and . As above, the participants could balance out relationship between
nature and human being as well as reflect on themselves through Korean
style painting art therapy, and examined their physical and mental health and
identities.
