This study attempted to analyze the determinants of the student 4-year college entrance demand in Korea. Time series of multiple regression analysis was employed with the number of college entrance applicants as a dependent variable and (1)the number of high school graduates, (2)the college entrance enrollment quota, (3)college entrance rates, (4)the proportion of general academic high school graduates among the total high school graduates, (5)tuition fees and the average annual household educational expenditures, (6)the sets of employment rates of college graduates, (7)the sets of wage differentials by the educational level, (8)the average monthly household expenditures and energy consumption rates, and (9)GNP per capita as independent variables. The results presented that the number of high school graduates, the college entrance enrollment quota, household educational expenditures, the sets of employment rates of college graduates, the sets of wage differentials by the educational level, the average monthly household expenditures and energy consumption rates, and GNP per capita have a statistically significant effect on the students college entrance demand.
