This thesis is an approach to Hahn KiUn's "Foundationism" form the Buddhistic standpoint. The range of the approach is divided into 1) Concept of "Foundation" 2) Outlook of time 3) Educational value system. The basis of "Foundationism" has both the elementary meaning and the meaning of truth. So it resembles Buddhistic "tathata". But in the foundationism the foundation as truth is no more than a hypothesis since it is recognized ontologically but is relative epistemologically. In an outlook of foundationism as the logic of human formation through "the harmony with tradition and renovation"; past, present, future are not viewed straightly but synthesized by historical self. This viewpoint resembles Buddhistic outlook of time: "One is three, Three is one." In foundationism, however, the relation between reality and phenomenon of time is not clear philosophically. Here again, the value system of foundationism, "three ideas and six concepts" can be compared with Buddhistic "tripitaka and sadparamita". Foundationism is widely consistent with Buddhism in many viewpoints. It has also many problems to be solved. These problems are expected to be answered by the advocate himself.
