Why are international students studying abroad? The answer to this question seems very simple and clear. Their accordant goal is "getting a job" in the United States. However, At this point, it looks very obvious that there are very important and serious differences between opinion of staffs and faculties, and those of international students. To back up this argument, I had interviewed three important group of higher education. I had interviews with staff members who are working at International Student Office of CUNY(City University of New York) and at International Student Service Center of Baruch College. And I had also interviews with several international students who are all undergraduate student. The students interviewed were randomly selected. Lastly, I had interviews with faculties. The interests of staffs and faculties are mainly focused on successful settling in their college rather than adapting into the culture of the United States. It is really different students' expectation which they want to get a job experience whether they wish to stay in United State. Even though we can find the sign of changing this group's interests, students still complained the lack of administrational support and faculty contact opportunity. This is a key issue emerged from this research. Diversity is one of strengths of higher education of the United States. It is beneficial to get experiences which are needed for global world. But, it doesn't always mean a favorable situation. The increase of student diversity forces student affairs into changing its philosophy and practice. International student is one of big groups which contribute this demographic change in higher education. The population of international student has been increased. The more the number of international students needs the more interests for them.
