This article outlines validation of teachers' Self-efficacy scale(TSES) for elementary school in physical education
classes, a multidimensional self-report measure designed to assess teachers' self-efficacy, which originated from
the work of Dellinger et al.(2008). TSES is consisted of three factors(19-items) with motivation and climates of
classes, goal setting and learning routine. Data are collected from 727 elementary school teachers(male:320,
female:407). In order to test, this study is performed exploratory factor analysis and confirmed factor analysis
to confirmed factorial validity, as well as internal consistency and correlations among 3 factors. As a result,
TSES for elementary teachers in physical education classes 3 factors with 19 items. The first factor with 10
items is named motivation and climate in classes, second factor with 5 items is named goal setting in classes,
and third factor with 4 items is named learning routine in classes. TSTS used in this study show more .90 in
GFI, CFI, NFI and internal consistency is showed .82~.93. In analysis discriminate validation, male teachers
show higher goal setting and learning routine than those of female teachers, the career group who have 5~10
years career show higher motivation and climate, goal setting, and learning routine than those of other
groups, teachers who teach physical education classes show higgher goal setting and learning routine than
those of class room teachers.
