The purpose of this study is to examine whether stress and intrusive reexperience would stimulate a variety of mental health problems(Phobia, Obsessive and compulsive symptoms, Borderline trait symptoms, Anxiety, Depression) through behavioral inhibition tendency. In the study, dispositional trait considered to be independent from stress and intrusive reexperience was defined as a concept that could be changed by stress and intrusive reexperience. In study, two paths were verified by using data collected from 235 college students. The moderating effects of behavioral inhibition tendency were not significant in any path while the mediating effects of behavioral inhibition tendency were significant in both paths. Also, it showed that the model was quite acceptable. Implications of the findings and directions to counseling on college students are discussed.
