This study aimed to understand and explore the physical disabled women who have been suffering from a cancer experience. To illustrate the meaning of their life with their perspective, an interpretative phenomenological approach was utilized with Giorgi’s phenomenological method. For this study, four women were chosen by ‘snowballing sampling’and interviewed with semi-structured questions from September, 2012 to January, 2013. The result was derived with sixteen themes and eight focal meanings; Exists of shrieks in despair, chose not for death but for the painfulness of cancer treatment, severe pains from diseases in deeper despair, struggled single-handed in agony, finding the positivness from the darkness, Living with death, meaningfulness in the community ,remained femaleness. Despite the limitation with small number of participants, physical disabled women experienced a cancer were investigated for the first time with social welfare perspective in korea. This results will provide essential keys to the social workers to get ideas of practical intervention for the isolated physical disabled women experienced a cancer.
