"1990년대 이후 매장문화재 조사를 통해 중요한 고고유적들이 다수 확인되었지만 대부분 보 존되지 못하고 있다. 한국사회의 경제적 성장과 함께 시작된 여가의 증대로 문화향유와 체험 에 대한 요구가 급증하면서 기초 지자체는 문화유산의 보존과 활용에 대한 새로운 대응을 위 해 고민하고 있다. 특히 매장문화재를 유지관리하는 수준의 정책을 넘어 고고 문화유산과 유 적박물관을 통해 정서적 체험과 교육적 프로그램을 제공하는 계기로 전환하는 사례가 시도되 고 있으며, 이에 수도권지역의 선사시대 유적박물관을 활용한 교육프로그램의 현황과 전망을 검토하였다. 기초자치단체로서 한정된 인적․물적 자원이 프로그램 개발과 운영에 심각한 한 계로 작용하고 있지만, 지역 문화관광 정책개발과 방향에 중요한 자산이 되는 문화유산의 보 존과 활용은 장기적으로 문화유산의 보존에 대한 사회의 소통과 참여를 끌어낼 수 있는 동인 을 제공해 줄 것이다."
"We have a number of cultural heritage left by mankind since prehistoric times. And many new relics are found during housing development and social infrastructure construction, Unfortunately, most of them do not preserve. Economic growth increased the demand for leisure and cultural experiences for the citizens of Korean society, So we are contemplating a new approach for the conservation and utilization of our cultural heritage. Since 1990s we began an effort to provide educational opportunities and emotional experience for our citizens through cultural heritage. In recent years some Municipal governments trying to develop a experiential education program for archaeological site museum and open-air historic site, They are very effective to promoting publicity and educational utilization of the Historic sites and Museums, It is the best chance to be able to make the know-how or/and policy vision for the development and operation of the Heritage Experience education development, and will provide motivation to our citizenship's communication and participation for the preservation of the cultural heritage in the long term."
