A museum of ethnology should be established at the level of national standard by the Government of Korea or the collaboration of the Government and academic societies included the Society of Korean Folklore, Korean Society for Cultural Anthropology and others, who are interested in the field of ethnological museum as well as ethnography. There are no museum of world culture in which people can learn or at least understand cultural similarity and differences among the various ethnic groups in the world. For the preparation of post-unification period of the Government of the North and the South Korea, at least one more ethonological museum should be established in the central part of Korea or two places of the Korean Peninsula, Pyongyang Metro City and Dajeon Metro City. At present we need a museum of ethnology where people can easily approach, tourists desire to visit, and visitors can joyfully experience different ways of life at any time. A newly-schemed museum of ethnology must contribute to make a synergy effect of the city development. It is just Dajeon Metro City that the National Museum of Science, the Expo Park of Science and Technology, Daejeon Municipal Museum of Art and Dunsan Archaeological Site Museum are located in a scheduled museum zone or museum complex. In the perspective of museum management, for the understanding foreigner's different ways of life and upgrading the national image of Korea, a museum of ethnology can plays a role of the center for Korean visitors, who eager to learn and understand different cultural identity as well as different background of the ethnic groups in the world. It can also draw for visitors to expand their business mind to the abroad, to communicate with unknown ethnic groups in different part of the world, and to collaborate among different communities and congenial friends through museum activities. It is a certain that a newly-schemed museum of ethnology in Dajeon Metro City can harmonize with the existing museums and can make a synergy effect among museums in a scheduled museum zone or museum complex.
