본 논문은 중학교 고려시대 서술을 2009 개정 교육과정 ⌈중학교 역사(상)⌋과 제7차 교육과정의 ⌈중학교 국사⌋의 서술체제와 내용을 분석한 것 이다. 2009 개정 교육과정에서 가장 큰 변화는 국정제에서 검인정제로 전 환되었다. ⌈국사⌋라는 한국사 중심에서 국사와 세계사를 포함하는 ⌈역사⌋로 전환되어 세계사와의 관련성이 더욱 강조되었다. 단원의 체계 역시 고 려시대의 경우 1단원에서 2단원으로 증가하면서 성취기준, 분량 등이 증가 하였다. 둘째, 필자 역시 교사들의 비중이 증가하였다. 셋째, 제7차 교육과 정보다 다양한 학습 자료를 수록하였다는 것이다. 또한 대단원의 마무리 역시 교육과정을 체계화하였다. 교사의 증가와 다양한 학습 자료의 수록은 학생들이 이해하기 쉽게 만들어졌다. 반대로 교수가 많은 부분은 다양한 시각을 제시해 주고 있다. 내용면에서 첫째, 검인정 교과서가 국정보다는 설명이 간결하고 전후 과정을 매끄럽게 정리하고, 역사용어에 대한 정의를 구체화하였다. 즉 귀 족, 문벌귀족 등 역사 용어가 국정에서는 모호한 부분이 많았다면, 검인정 제에서는 일부 모호한 것도 있지만, ⌈미래⌋와 ⌈천재⌋의 경우처럼 구체화하 였다. 둘째, 정치사 이외에 사회, 경제, 문화 등이 설명되어 전체 역사상을 이해하는데 도움이 된다. 그러나 너무 많은 분량을 서술하여 수업 시수와 관련한다면 학생들의 부담은 오히려 늘어났다. 이는 2011 부분 개정 교육 과정에서는 정치사(문화사) 중심으로 개편될 예정이다. 넷째, 서술 내용은 필자에 따라 빠지거나 강조한 부분이 달라 교사의 충분한 이해가 전제된 다. 특히 문화 등 교과서마다 내용상 차이가 심하다. 다섯째, 정치세력보다 는 농민들의 생활, 신분상승운동 등을 긍정적으로 서술하였다. 또한 민족 을 강조하는 서술이 여전히 많이 있으나, ⌈천재⌋의 경우 삼별초를 민족의 자주성과 최씨 사병 집단이라는 논쟁을 수록하였다. 가장 큰 문제는 계열 화라는 이름으로 교육과정을 제멋대로 바꾸는 것이다. 교육현장의 올바른 이해를 바탕으로 교과서가 집필되어야 한다.
The aim of this research is to examine the description and content of Koryo dynasty in the ⌈Middle School History 1⌋comparing the ⌈Korean History Textbook⌋ for the Middle School according to the 7th National Curriculum. The main change in the 9th revisions that government-designated system is shifted to the government-approved system. As the result, the contents of textbook are more emphasized General History including Korean History. The work involves both National History and World History. The 9th revision includes political history, social history, and economical history. And also the revision more increased the two chapter in the content of Koryo history and the number of teachers to write the textbook is increased. Moreover, the revision involves the various learning materials. In terms of contents, the 9th revision eliminated the redundant contents in the textbook and more gave shape to the uncertain historical concepts in description of aristocrat and gently born aristocrat and so on. And beyond political history the explanation of the part of society. economics, and culture help us to understand the whole history. But the each teacher who engaged in writing textbook had a different viewpoints in the part of culture and economics. the 9the revision emphasized the life history rather than political history, and described the movement for the upward mobility. But it includes the emphasis of nationality as before and the debate the Sambyulcho(a troop in Koryo dynasty) whether it was troop for national independence or mercenary soldiers of the family Choi in Koryo.
