The purpose of this study is to discuss the direction for the Integrated
Appreciative Learning. This study include the integrating of feeling(受) and
reasoning(識) as well as the Genre or Curriculum Integration.
Because lately there is a strong tendency is art education to accentuate
understanding and reading of the arts. This distorted tendency of the Appreciative
Learning in art education mostly lean toward focusing on the analysing.
Necessarily, this general tendency toward analysing study result in ignoring the
importance of the sensibility(感受) in Art Education.
Art is the system of ideas of the times which is the whole of our
inheritance. So art learners need to discover various values through culture, though
there are ingredients of art which cannot be resolved into broad knowledge.
Without enjoying and appreciation them, we are not able to discover the true
meaning of arts.
Therefore we need to the well-balanced Art Education. Consequently this
paper have attempted to develop the appreciating learning model which focused on
the integrating of feeling and reasoning.
In the future more research efforts should be dedicated to develop an
integrated curriculum will make learning more accessible to a variety of students
learn styles.
