Artistic expression represents various experiences that are related to the life.
The experience for artistic expression has an important meaning together with aesthetical
perception. The artistic expression is also represented and signified through the aesthetical
directivity in relation to an aesthetical object, the retroaction of the sensual experience
of the selves that are different each other and the signifying action through the total
aesthetical activity of perception. This is based on the phenomenological aesthetics.
Apprehension of the aesthetical activity of perception based on the phenomenological
viewpoint of aesthetics gives an important suggestion in understanding the juvenile
expression of arts that is deteriorated compared to that of adults. Modern people
watch infants and juveniles carefully as ‘percipient’ and ‘reactor’ in artistic expression.
They are also considered to be able to have the aesthetical directivity in relation
to the fronting problems for artistic expression. The pursuit after artistic expression
should also be regarded as an aesthetics, judgement, signifying activity and significance.
The purpose of this study is to improve the perception of the essential
artistic expression of infants and juveniles by approaching, through practical cases,
to the activity of expression of infants and juveniles(drawing-oriented) that is
deteriorated compared to that of adults in terms of ‘perception of the relation to
object(aesthetical directivity)’, ‘retroaction of experience to present fact’ and
‘persistent aesthetical activity of perception’ based on phenomenological viewpoint
of aesthetics. For that, the aesthetical perception in the phenomenological viewpoint
(object, sense and experience) is considered, and based on it, the expression and
aesthetical activity of expression of infants and juveniles is divided into three
characteristics, perception of relation(aesthetical directivity), ‘retroaction of experience
to present fact’ and ‘persistent aesthetical activity of perception’ to concretely
understand. Accordingly, this study tries to understand and approaches to the
qualitative cases of the aesthetical activity of perception of infants and juveniles.
