The assessment in the curriculum of education helps the students check their
achievements. There are many problems in performance assessment.
This research suggests that useful ways of assessment in art education should
be developed and performance assessment would be desirable.
To make the performance assessment settled as a reliable evaluation system for
the achievement of the aims in art education, we need the following improvement
plans.
First, active process in the instruction which can lead to the interest for
learning while applying the new performance assessment should be needs. Second,
Performance assessment all must evaluate the ability of student each one. Third,
practical improvement of education circumstance is required to realize the true
meaning of performance assessment. Forth, Aesthetics, Art History, Art criticism,
and the to begin Art Production, until where it appreciates the evaluation tool and
the standard performance assessment it will be able to evaluate well must be
prepared. Fifth, the evaluation in art education centered on the intellectual and
functional view should be changed to the centered on the whole man education.
Sixth, for having and keeping the equality and objectivity, the standards for the
assessment should be elaborately planned and opened.
All of the assessment should be consisted of the process and result
assessment following the standards, and the result of the assessment should be
opened for the students to get the clearness and fairness for the prevention of
subjectivity. I expect that problems and solutions will be discussed and quality of
art performance assessment will be developed.
