The process what the visual system grasps the object is learning the
characteristics of lines, bodies, colors, actions, etc. These special characteristics of
visual system have relationship with molding elements which are visual and
cognitive factors in art-expression activities. Therefore the purpose of this study is
researching the relationship between molding elements and special attribute of
visual system. The methods of this study are searching books which had
relationship with visual system and molding elements - cognitive psychology,
nerval psychology, visual psychology, general psychology - ordinarily. I find
following results through the study :
First, form, color, space, movement which are special attributes of visual
system and form, color, space, movement in molding elements have same
meaning. So the understand of visual system provides the physiological basis.
Second, molding elements can be considered as physiological and scientific visual
perception elements which has relationship with visual system not ambiguous art
expressional factor. Third, the brain's visual cells which control form, color, space,
movement - the special attribute of visual system are individual and successive. So
we can know the molding elements is also individual and successive. For that
reason we should adopt the same theory in the molding element's teaching
contents and methods. Fourth, the visual system's process that controls shape,
color, surface, depth is not similar to the visual system's process that controls
movements. Consequently we can figure out that it is very different to make
perception shape, color, quality, space and to make perception movements.
