Gyeore Institute of Cultural Heritage, a specialized institution in cultural heritage investigation has been chosen an 'archeology experience class' project hosted by Cultural Heritage Administration. The institute planned and managed a program called 'A fun trip to Old Stone Age with an archeologist'.
The program focused on excavation investigation site of Old Stone Age and consisted of various activities such as excavation experience, mural paintings and ornament making. Participants learned Old Stone Age and archeology excavation connected with school subjects through the program spontaneously as an experience activity instead of cramming method of teaching. Furthermore, they also noticed the importance of cultural heritage.
Speaking of the meanings of cultural heritage education program hosted by a specialized institution in cultural heritage investigation, they aim realism and professionalism concentrating on the features of institutions, and pursue to offer knowledge connected with school subjects. Thus, networks to share heritage sites between institutions are required and it is expected to realize public concern through sustainable operation and management for education programs.
