The purpose of this research was to investigate the effects of the FAT program on the
positive psychological tendency of college students. The experimental group and control group
had 20 participants each. For the experimental design, prior and post measurements were
applied. To handle the experiment, FAT program was implemented with each session
operating for 90 minutes (However, the last session lasted for 3 hours). Overall, the
experiment was conducted 12 times. In order to verify the effects of the program, a test was
implemented on individuals right before and after the program. The test was done in order to
measure the level of their emotions such as happiness, positive and negative emotions.
Experience and evaluation reports that the participants made out themselves were also
analyzed. According to the experimental results, FAT program was found to be effective in
increasing the level of subjective happiness and positive emotions and decreasing the level of
negative emotions. As a result, FAT program displayed the potential to increase the
tendencies of positive psychology within college students.
