By using a sample from the KYPS(Korea Youth Panel Survey), conducted by the Korea Institute for Youth Development, this study analyzes the life satisfaction of middle and high school students. Life satisfaction means a subjective well-being or the sense of happiness in daily life. Therefore, it is to be influenced by developmental stages and life domains. This study divided the life domain of students into school, family, peer, self-perception, and stress, and examined how and to what degree the peculiarities of each life domain influence the life satisfaction of middle and high school students. The analysis data for this study were collected from 2,150 students. The analysis method were correlation, paired t-test and panel regression on 5th-wave panel data, for which SPSS and STATA program were used. The results confirm the significant effect school, family, peer, self-perception, and stress have on the life satisfaction of middle and high school students. These results can provide valuable information in understanding and raising life satisfaction for secondary students.
