The purpose of this study is to figure out research trends of art therapy for adolescents with behavior problem. For the purpose, 108 dissertations were analyzed from 1996 to 2013, which were found in National Assembly Library and KERIS. This study has a significant meaning to provide the material to support quantitative and qualitative studies for the sake of art therapy. The analysis was done by year, subject, object and method. The following are brief summaries of the research’s result based to its purpose. First, the researches have increased since 2008 and especially they’ve risen since 2010. Second, in regarding to subject, the main issues were maladjustment, sociality, depression and self-esteem. Third, the participants in the researches were mostly 5 to 10. Fourth, unified study was mostly used and the experiment was conducted only one group without comparative group. The therapy was mainly composed of 10 to 11 session and unified technique was used the most. The result of this study shows that the effective and systematic researches should be conducted to study adolescents with behavior problems. Lastly, dependent variables have to be changed with the time and objectivity security is also needed in the research of art therapy.
