본 연구는 난독증 선별 체크리스트를 개발하기 위해 난독증 관련 문헌에서 제시하고 있는 난독증 특징들이 어떻게 구성되는지를 살펴보았으며, 또한 이를 통해 개발된 난독증 선별 체크리스트는 그 신뢰도가 어느 정도인지를 알아보는데 목적을 두었다. 연구의 대상은 우리나라의 북부, 중부, 및 남부에 소재한 초등학교 전체 학년으로 일반 학생 및 읽기기초부진 학생을 포함한 총 166명이었다. 본 연구자들이 개발한 문항 총 41개(읽기관련 37문항 + 제외조건 4문항)를 각 학생의 담임교사가 응답하였다. 연구결과는 첫째, 읽기기초부진학생의 자료를 대상으로 요인분석을 통해 37개 문항 모두가 난독증 선별 체크리스트 평가문항으로 포함되었으며, 10개 영역의 요인으로 재구성되었다. 둘째, 개발된 난독증 선별 체크리스트는 예비검사에서 Cronbach Alpha 계수가 읽기기초부진학생 .92, 읽기보통성취학생 .95, 및 전체학생 .97로 아주 높은 신뢰도를 확보하였다. 이와 같은 결과를 바탕으로 다양한 논의를 제시하고 있다.

영문초록

This study examined what literature and research related to dyslexia were suggesting the characteristics of dyslexia in order to develop a Dyslexia Screening Checklist in Korea. The second research purpose included whether the developed Checklist through this review had significant credibility by conducting a pilot study. The participants included total 166 elementary students nation wide. In pilot study, the head teachers who were majoring in special education in graduate schools checked their students with the Dyslexia Screening Checklist. The Checklist included 37 items and four exclusive items. As research results, first, the Cronbach Coefficient Alpha were significantly high in terms of students with foundational reading problems (.92), normal reading group (.95), and total participants (.97). Second, the factors of the Checklist were analyzed into 10 factors when applying those of students with foundational reading problems, which were mostly consistent with our results of literature review, however, some items were attributed into the original cause of it. Many aspects of the results were discussed in the paper.
