This paper assesses meeting planners' satisfaction of convention
industry of Seoul and Busan through an empirical study. The data for
the study were collected from survey of 72 meeting planners who have
experienced convention in Seoul and Busan.
The empirical test revealed that there were statistically significant
differences between Busan's and Seoul's convention satisfactions by
meeting planners' characteristics.
The main points of the study are: (1) identifying the critical attributes
that affect on selecting conference site and hotel; (2) companng
satisfaction of attributes between Busan's and Seoul's convention
industry; (3) revealing strengths and weaknesses of Busan as the
convention site.
This study's purpose IS, therefore, that Korea convention industry is
promoted by strengthening the competitiveness of Busan convention's
facilities and services. It also contribute to diversity of conference
facilities and services in Korea.
