본 연구의 목적은 한국 사회복지사들의 학위와 자격증유형 즉, 사회복지 전공 학사 및 석사학위와 사회복지사와 정신보건사회복지사 자격증유형이 사회복지 옹호실천에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지를 파악하고자 하는 것이다. 다시 말해 사회복지사의 최종학위 및 학부 전공 여부에 따라 사회복지옹호실천의 정도가 어떻게 달라지는지, 사회복지사와 정신보건사회복지사 자격증 소지가 사회복지 옹호실천에 어떤 영향을 미치는지를 살펴보고자 한다. 이를 통해 본 연구는 옹호자로서의 사회복지사 역할수행의 실태를 점검하고 사회복지 옹호실천을 위한 사회복지 교육의 방향을 제시하고자 한다. 이러한 목적을 달성하기 위하여 본 연구는 다음과 같은 연구문제를 갖는다. 연구문제 1, 한국 사회복지사들의 사회복지 옹호(정책옹호, 계층 및 사례옹호)실천은 어느 정도인가? 연구문제 2, 사회복지학위유형과 자격증은 사회복지 옹호(정책옹호, 계층 및 사례옹호)실천에 영향을 미치는가? 본 연구의 조사는 대학교를 졸업하고 사회복지사 자격증 또는 정신보건사회복지사 자격증을 취득한 뒤 현장에서 일하고 있는 사회복지 실천가 461명을 대상으로 실시되었다. 조사도구로는 사회복지 옹호개입 척도, 자존감 척도, 통제소재 척도를 사용하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS/PC+ 11.5를 사용하여 일원변량분석(One-way ANOVA)과 t-검증, 신뢰도 검증, 탐색적 요인분석, 다중회귀분석을 실시하였다. 본 연구의 의의는 사회복지 교육이 옹호자로서의 사회복지사의 역할수행에 미치는 영향을 국내에서 처음 확인해 봄으로써 사회복지 교육과 옹호실천의 연구 범위를 확장할 수 있다는 것이다. 또한 사회복지사로서의 옹호자의 역할수행의 강조뿐 아니라 사회복지 실천을 위한 교육의 방향 정립에 기여할 것으로 본다.
The purpose of this study is to examine the Korean social workers\' level of social work advocacy intervention, and to verify the relations between social work education and social work advocacy by examining whether social work education influences social work advocacy. Accordingly, this study wishes to suggest the direction of social work education to promote social work advocacy. To achieve this goal, this study poses the following research questions: (1)What are the social workers\' degree of social work advocacy(policy advocacy, class and case advocacy)intervention ? (2)Do social work education influences social work advocacy(policy advocacy, class and case advocacy)? The research of this study was conducted on 461 social work practitioners who have obtained either social worker licenses or mental health social worker licenses and are currently working in the field. As survey tools, this study utilized social work advocacy attitude, social work advocacy intervention, outcomes of social work education, social work values, self-esteem and locus of control. Collected data were analyzed by using SPSS/PC+ 11.5 for one-way ANOVA and t-test, reliability analysis, exploratory factor analysis and multiple regression. The theoretical implications of this study would be that this study expands the scope of the study on social work education and social work advocacy. Such results are expected to contribute not only to the study of social worker\'s advocate role, but also to the theory building of the study of social work education.
