The Installation Art makes free access to various genre and neighboring art fields, and challenges peculiarity of indivisual genre. In spite of its lack of permanency caused by withdrawl of a work of art, installation attracts many artists all around the world for it uses various media, provides great spectacles, and presents experience about space and function of communication. The purpose of this study is to suggest a direction for understanding and teaching method about the Installation Art. It is proper that the art education on Modern Art should be taught from the period of the elemetary school when children have a full sensibility from a viewpoint of human being\'s development stages. Furthermore, children should be taught how to form the artistic sensibility with which they can find artistic elements in life, not only using the techniques of Modern Art, but relating them with the general trends of Modern Art. This is the study on the instruction of art in the upper grades of elementary school in the Installation art. It looks into the reation between the Installation art and children\'s art education, the current situation of the art education of the art under the current curriculum. In conclusion, application of the Installation Art to art education helps children not only to be able to use art in common life, but also to have integrated thought and open eyes about things around us. Therefore, increasing of children\'s having opportunities for aesthetic exprience in ordinary life with proper teaching and learning makes children apprpoach rightly to the Installation Art in school or at home
