This study investigated how young children respond when asked to create spoken and written narratives. To examine aspects of 5-year-olds’ spoken and written narratives about their personal experiences, the level of narrative, developmental stage of writing, and use of cohesive devices were analyzed. 모든 문학작품들과 마찬가지로 아동문학의 주요 장르 중 하나인 그림책도 글과 그림이 결합된 복합적 인 구조를 지닌 서사물이다. 본 연구는 John Burningham의 그림책에서 나타난 시간성을 Gerard Genette(1992)가 제시한 시간의 양상인 시간의 순서, 시간의 길이, 빈도를 바탕으로 분석하였다. 그 결과 첫째, Burningham의 그림책에서 표현된 시간성은 글과 그림 간의 보완 관계, 강화 관계, 병행 관계를 드러냈다. 둘째, 시간성은 시간의 순서 변화와 빈도를 통해 독특한 리듬을 만들어 냈다. 끝으 로 시간성은 독자가 해석해야 할... -
