The purpose of this study is to analyze activities related to fundamental movement skills (FMS) in the Teacher’s Guide for the 2007 Korean National Kindergarten Curriculum. 96 activities regarding FMS in the Teachers Guide were analyzed. The results of this study are as follows. The first finding is that the proportion devoted to ‘Health Life Area’ was lower than that for the other life areas in the Teacher’s Guide. The second finding is that the activities related to FMS presented in the Teacher’s Guide mostly were age appropriate. The third finding is that activities included in the Teacher’s Guide did not cover every possible FMS element. The last finding is that in the Teacher’s Guide FMS activities were presented in the form of creative physical expression, outdoor play, and games rather than as fundamental movement activities. The Teacher’s Guide needs to include abundant information about fundamental movement skills and a variety of educational experiences which are suitable for child development.
