and revolution). A form of collectively supported scientific consciousness was realized through discussions, imagining and re-imagining of everyday objects as scientific phenomenon. Scientific laws, as the rules of the scientific play being enacted by the family, enabled the child to be both imagining and viscerally experiencing which cannot be seen. A pedagogical framework is introduced which captures the unique characteristics of fairy tales in the context of the pedagogical features that were used by the educators in the study presented. The key concept of affective imagination or emotional imagination is used to discuss the fairytale of “Jack and the Beanstalk” from the data set of 74 hours of digital video observations gathered over 16 preschool sessions. -

adopting voices for characters, adding the reader’s interpretation or asking questions of the listener, adapting the story by changing parts of sentences, and reading some parts of the picture book, while omitting others. The course benefited the mothers’ story-sharing skills and their parental efficacy beliefs. Korean language teaching materials and their use are discussed, along with implications for governmental inclusion policies for people whose backgrounds are not in Korean culture.
