한미영(Mi Young Han), 박영미(Young-Mee Park) 대한약리학회 대한약리학잡지 11 Pages
대한약리학회 대한약리학잡지 1996, 제 32권 제 3호 15 433-443 (11 pages)
We describe a novel approach to evaluate quantitatively the amounts of denatured proteins in cells upon heat exposure. A thiol compound, diamide [azodicarboxylic acid bis (dimethylamide)] causes protein cross-linking with exposed sulfyhydryl residues of denatured proteins. Since denatured proteins expose normally well-hidden sulfhydryl groups, these will be preferentially cross-linked by diamide. Thus diamide acts to trap denatured proteins. We observed that protein aggregates (high molecular... -
Endothelium-dependent Contraction of Aorta in One-kidney, One-clip Goldblatt Hypertensive Rat
Jeon, Byeong-Hwa, Lee, Kug-Hee, Kim, Hoe-Suk, Kim, Se-Hoon, Chang, Seok-Jong 대한생리학회 대한생리학회지 10 Pages
대한생리학회 대한생리학회지 1996, 제 30권 제 2호 9 269-278 (10 pages)
The mechanism of impaired endothelium-dependent relaxation in the aorta of one-kidney, one clip Goldblatt hypertensive (1K,1C-GBH) rats was investigated. 8 week-old Wistar-Kyoto (WKY) rats were made hypertensive by left renal artery stenosis with contralateral nephrectomy. Endothelium-dependent relaxation was significantly reduced in 1K,1C-GBH rats as compared with WKY rats. However, the relaxation by sodium nitroprusside in 1K,1C-GBH rats was not reduced as compared with WKY rats. The... -

There are many report suggesting that influx and intracellular calcium concentration ([Ca2+]i) are related to cell signalling in various cells. However, it has not been reported that calcium channel activation is affected by the substances involved in signal transduction pathways in the mouse eggs. In this study, the effects of isoprenaline (ISP) and cyclic AMP on calcium influx through calcium channels were investigated to show their relationship with the signal transduction process in... -
A preliminary study of bone inducing effect by recombinant bone morphogenetic protein-2

In bone grafting, autogenous bone is considered the 'gold standard' to which other method are compared. The limitations of obtaining autogenous bone are obvious. Allograft, xenofraft and synthetic bone graft are widely used, but they have not solved all the problems in bone grafting. Generally, allograft or synthetic bone graft has lower healing capacity than autograft and carries a risk for certain disease, such as hepatitis or AIDS1). Occasionally, incomplete healing is seen in spite of proper... -
Control Efficacy of Bacillus velezensis AFB2-2 against Potato Late Blight Caused by Phytophthora infestans in Organic Potato Cultivation
Min Jeong Kim, Chang Ki Shim, Jong-Ho Park 한국식물병리학회 The Plant Pathology Journal 16 Pages
한국식물병리학회 The Plant Pathology Journal 2021, 37권 6호 8 580-595 (16 pages)
Although late blight is an important disease in eco- friendly potato cultivation in Korea, it is highly depen- dent on the use of eco-friendly agricultural materials and the development of biological control technology is low. It is a necessary to develop an effective biocontrol agent to inactivate late blight in the field. AFB2-2 strain is a gram-positive with peritrichous flagella. It can uti- lize 20 types of carbon sources, like L-arabinose, and D- trehalose at 35°C. The optimal growth... -
Distribution of Pectobacterium Species Isolated in South Korea and Comparison of Temperature Effects on Pathogenicity

Pectobacterium, which causes soft rot disease, is divided into 18 species based on the current classification. A total of 225 Pectobacterium strains were isolated from 10 main cultivation regions of potato (Solanum tuberosum), napa cabbage (Brassica rapa subsp. pekinensis), and radish (Raphanus sativus) in South Korea; 202 iso- lates (90%) were from potato, 18 from napa cabbage, and five from radish. Strains were identified using the Biolog test and phylogenetic analysis. The pathogenicity and... -
Effect of Bacillus aryabhattai H26-2 and B. siamensis H30-3 on Growth Promotion and Alleviation of Heat and Drought Stresses in Chinese Cabbage

Plants are exposed to biotic stresses caused by pathogen attack and complex abiotic stresses including heat and drought by dynamic climate changes. To alleviate these stresses, we investigated two bacterial stains, H26-2 and H30-3 in two cultivars (‘Ryeokkwang’ and ‘Buram-3-ho’) of Chinese cabbage in plastic pots in a greenhouse. We evaluated effects of bacterial strains on plant growth-promotion and mitigation of heat and drought stresses; the role of exopolysaccharides as one of bacterial... -

한국식물병리학회 The Plant Pathology Journal 2018, 34권 4호 6 316-326 (11 pages)
The effect of simulated climate changes by applying different temperatures and CO2 levels was investigated in the Blumeria graminis f. sp. tritici/wheat pathosystem. Healthy and inoculated plants were exposed in single phytotrons to six CO2+temperature combinations: (1) 450 ppm CO2/18-22°C (ambient CO2 and low temperature), (2) 850 ppm CO2/18-22°C (elevated CO2 and low temperature), (3) 450 ppm CO2/22-26°C (ambient CO2 and medium temperature), (4) 850 ppm CO2/22-26°C (elevated CO2 and medium... -
A Model to Explain Temperature Dependent Systemic Infection of Potato Plants by Potato virus Y
한국식물병리학회 The Plant Pathology Journal 6 Pages
한국식물병리학회 The Plant Pathology Journal 2017, 33권 2호 12 206-211 (6 pages)
The effect of temperature on the rate of systemic infection of potatoes (Solanum tuberosum L. cv. Chu-Baek) by Potato virus Y (PVY) was studied in growth chambers. Systemic infection of PVY was observed only within the temperature range of 16°C to 32°C. Within this temperature range, the time required for a plant to become infected systemically decreased from 14 days at 20°C to 5.7 days at 28°C. The estimated lower thermal threshold was 15.6°C and the... -
