D-PSA-K: A Model for Estimating the Accumulated Potential Damage on Kiwifruit Canes Caused by Bacterial Canker during the Growing and Overwintering Seasons
The Plant Pathology Journal 8 Pages
6 537-544 (8 pages)
We developed a model, termed D-PSA-K, to estimate the accumulated potential damage on kiwifruit canes caused by bacterial canker during the growing and overwintering seasons. The model consisted of three parts including estimation of the amount of necrotic lesion in a non-frozen environment, the rate of necrosis increase in a freezing environment during the overwintering season, and the amount of necrotic lesion on kiwifruit canes caused by bacterial canker during the overwintering and growing... -
Profiling of Disease-Related Metabolites in Grapevine Internode Tissues Infected with Agrobacterium vitis
The Plant Pathology Journal 11 Pages
1 489-499 (11 pages)
Green shoot cuttings of 10 different grapevine species were inoculated with Agrobacterium vitis to find disease-related metabolites in the grapevine. Crown galls formed 60 days after inoculation varied in gall severity (GS) evaluated by gall incidence (GI) and gall diameter (GD), which were classified into three response types as RR (low GI and small GD), SR (high GI and small GD), and SS (high GI and large GD), corresponding to resistant, moderately resistant, and susceptible responses,... -
Meta-analysis Reveals That the Genus Pseudomonas Can Be a Better Choice of Biological Control Agent against Bacterial Wilt Disease Caused by Ralstonia solanacearum
The Plant Pathology Journal 12 Pages
6 216-227 (12 pages)
annual plants, co-inoculation with more than one BCA, soil drench and greenhouse condition were found to be essential in understanding plant responses to R. solanacearum. Our results suggest that more efforts should be devoted to harnessing the potential beneficial effects of these antagonists, not just for plant growth promoting traits but also in mode of applications, BCAs formulations and their field studies should be considered in the future for R. solanacearum wilt disease suppression. -
BGRcast: A Disease Forecast Model to Support Decision-making for Chemical Sprays to Control Bacterial Grain Rot of Rice
The Plant Pathology Journal 13 Pages
4 350-362 (13 pages)
A disease forecast model for bacterial grain rot (BGR) of rice, which is caused by Burkholderia glumae, was developed in this study. The model, which was named ‘BGRcast’, determined daily conduciveness of weather conditions to epidemic development of BGR and forecasted risk of BGR development. All data that were used to develop and validate the BGRcast model were collected from field observations on disease incidence at Naju, Korea during 1998?2004 and 2010. In this study, we have proposed the... -

10 87-105 (19 pages)
In order to meet the increasing need for quality conscience crops and to utilize the resources efficiently, the concept of Greenhouse was introduced. It assists in accurate monitoring and controlling of various parameters, in order to nurture healthy crops. In this paper efforts are made to acknowledge the problems associated with maintaining precise environmental conditions, and to implement a sophisticated system to supervise the real-time monitoring and controlling operation inside the... -

to their: Acceptable delay in transmission, Buffering capacity, Transmission mode and Bit rate. In this approach CAC and Handoff issues are resolved by awarding calls with some Priority Number by which each call will be recognized. Another issue of collision in CAC and handoff will be resolved by priority and authority to access the channel. Performance of this frame- work for CAC and Handoff is evaluated by calculating Call Dropping probability and Call Completion probability in this paper. -

Art museums are dedicated to fostering an understanding of works of art, to conducting research, and to delivering results to the public. As technologies has introduced new challenges for museums, museum professionals have embraced new interactive technologies for their promise to offer aesthetic, cultural, and contextual information on exhibits, and to boost museum attendance. Museum visitors, expecially children and young adults, have responded enthusiastically to interactive exhibits, even... -
“Polish One’s Jade with Stones from Another Mountain”: Examining the Case of a New Zealand-Inspired Early Childhood Education Centre in China
Asia-Pacific journal of research in early childhood education 24 Pages
Asia-Pacific journal of research in early childhood education 2021, Vol.15 No.1 4 53-76 (24 pages)
This article reports on a case study that investigated the implementation of New Zealand early childhood education (ECE) beliefs in a kindergarten in China and its implications. The study used a process of document analysis and individual interviews with teachers and parents to collect data. The incorporation of “Western” education approaches is not a new phenomenon in China. This paper uses empirical findings to highlight new concerns regarding this ongoing practice. It analyses the tensions... -
Mono-Cultural Approach in Multicultural Education: Mapping the Contours of Multicultural Early Childhood Education in New Zealand
Asia-Pacific journal of research in early childhood education 17 Pages
Asia-Pacific journal of research in early childhood education 2014, Vol.8 No.1 2 19-35 (17 pages)
There has been an increase in research activities in multicultural early childhood education in New Zealand. This article provides a critical review of these activities. This is an attempt to unravel the aspirations and complexities associated with the educational policies and practices with children of culturally diverse backgrounds. The conclusion from this literature review is that despite the multicultural principles that support democracy and equitability in education in New Zealand, a... -
Optical sensitivity of DNA-dispersed single-walled carbon nanotubes within cement composites under mechanical load
Jin Hee Kim, Inkyu Rhee, Yong Chae Jung, Sumin Ha, Yoong Ahm Kim 한국탄소학회 Carbon Letters 7 Pages
Carbon Letters 2017, Vol.24 12 90-96 (7 pages)
We demonstrated the sensitivity of optically active single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWCNTs) with a diameter below 1 nm that were homogeneously dispersed in cement composites under a mechanical load. Deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) was selected as the dispersing agent to achieve a homogeneous dispersion of SWCNTs in an aqueous solution, and the dispersion state of the SWCNTs were characterized using various optical tools. It was found that the addition of a large amount of DNA prohibited the...
