Pakpoom Tadee, Kittipong Kumpapong, Danai Sinthuya, Panuwat Yamsakul, Nipa Chokesajjawatee, Supachai Nuanualsuwan, Suchawan Porn 대한수의학회 Journal of Veterinary Science 8 Pages
20 327-334 (8 pages)
This study was conducted to analyze the prevalence and quantitative loads of Salmonella spp. on pig farms in Chiang Mai, Lamphun, Thailand to assess loading levels before slaughtering. The serotype diversity, antimicrobial-resistance pattern and pulse-field type of Salmonella spp. were also characterized to assess the dynamic propagation of the pathogen. The Salmonella-positive prevalence was 246/805 (30.56%), and the quantitative loads varied from 1.48∼4.04 Log10MPN/g, with a mean ± standard... -

22 Pages
1 1-22 (22 pages)
This study evaluated the use of the Prevent-Teach-Reinforce (PTR) model, an individualized behavior intervention process, with two teachers and two 4-year-old children in a community preschool classroom. A multiple baseline design across routines was employed to assess teachers’ implementation of the PTR intervention and changes in child behavior. Additional measures associated with the PTR process and outcomes, such as procedural integrity and social validity, were obtained. The results... -

A STUDY OF TRANSCENDENCE OF YOUNG CHILDREN DURING PLAY UNDER TEACHER-CHILD RELATIONSHIP
Pacific Early Childhood Education Research Association Annual Conference 17 Pages
Pacific Early Childhood Education Research Association Annual Conference 14th 11 432-448 (17 pages)
Countless creative ideas are constructed while preschoolers play, and are often reflected in their expressions and performance. Various psychological developments can occur during such activities. Some worth mentioning are the transcendence in their logical-cognitive, social-cognitive, and intrapersonal-affective domains, each of which is influenced by the nature of the learning relationship between teachers and children. The meaning of transcendence in this study is neither moral, ethical, nor... -

Asia-Pacific journal of research in early childhood education 20 Pages
Asia-Pacific journal of research in early childhood education 2023, Vol.17 No.1 8 157-176 (20 pages)
The study was to understand how online video consumption patterns affect preschoolers’ selfregulation. A questionnaire was developed based on other scales in previous studies. The survey was conducted from June 3 to June 24, 2019, with 263 mothers of 3, 4, 5-year-old children enrolled in preschool and day care centers in South Korea. The analysis of the collected data was performed on SPSS 21.0, calculating frequencies and percentages and applying the t-test and one-way ANOVA. A considerable... -
Socio-Economic and Political Changes and the Cultural Hybridization of Early Childhood Education and Care since South Korean Independence in 1945
Asia-Pacific journal of research in early childhood education 22 Pages
Asia-Pacific journal of research in early childhood education 2021, Vol.15 No.2 12 257-278 (22 pages)
South Korean ECEC has been transformed by dynamic socio-economic and political changes. In these changes, the Korean culture as it is embedded in ECEC is continuously being retranslated and reshaped in the new, and ever-changing context by means of globalization and from those who travel abroad and bring back new ideas. Previous research is limited in that it fails to connect broader Korean cultural and societal changes to changes in ECEC over time. In this paper we illustrate the history of... -
“Polish One’s Jade with Stones from Another Mountain”: Examining the Case of a New Zealand-Inspired Early Childhood Education Centre in China
Asia-Pacific journal of research in early childhood education 24 Pages
Asia-Pacific journal of research in early childhood education 2021, Vol.15 No.1 4 53-76 (24 pages)
This article reports on a case study that investigated the implementation of New Zealand early childhood education (ECE) beliefs in a kindergarten in China and its implications. The study used a process of document analysis and individual interviews with teachers and parents to collect data. The incorporation of “Western” education approaches is not a new phenomenon in China. This paper uses empirical findings to highlight new concerns regarding this ongoing practice. It analyses the tensions... -
Creating Collective Scientific Consciousness: A Cultural-Historical Study of Early Learning about Earth and Space in the Context of Family Imaginary Play
Asia-Pacific journal of research in early childhood education 32 Pages
Asia-Pacific journal of research in early childhood education 2016, Vol.10 No.2 6 93-124 (32 pages)
Based on a cultural-historical perspective, where play is conceptualized as the creation of an imaginary situation, this study seeks to examine how scientific learning is fostered through collectively created imaginary situations during everyday family practices. This study forms part of a broader study, and in this paper the focus is on a three-year-old child and his family from Mainland China. A theoretical discussion of data collected reveals that a collectively created imaginary situation... -
Risk-Taking in the New Zealand Bush: Issues of Resilience and Wellbeing
Asia-Pacific journal of research in early childhood education 23 Pages
Asia-Pacific journal of research in early childhood education 2018, Vol.12 No.2 2 7-29 (23 pages)
This article discusses a single case analysis of teacher-child interactions on an everyday bush walk in New Zealand. It uses a combination of the Leuven wellbeing scale (Laevers, 2000) and a conversation analysis approach to explore how children and teachers attend to specific features of the outdoor environment in a way that encourages risk-taking and builds resilience through problem solving. The collaborative achievement of the activities between the pre- school teacher and the fouryear- old...
