본 연구는 문헌연구를 통하여 먼저 세계 주요 국가들의 경찰항공대의 현황과 장비 등에 대해 살펴본 후, 무인항공시스템을 경찰항공대에 도입·활용하는 것에 대해서 미국의 사례 분석을 중심으로 비용효과분석(Cost-Effectiveness Analysis)의 측면에서 타당성을 검토해 보았다. 단위비행시간을 분석단위로 하여 추산한 결과, 경찰헬기는 노후화에 따른 감가상 가비(depreciation cost), 연료비(fuel cost), 관리비(maintenance cost)가 매우 큰 반면, 무인 항공시스템은 시간 당 운영비가 헬기의 10퍼센트에서 40퍼센트에 지나지 않는...
