in SHR. Strikingly, profound raised blood pressure were revealed in DOCA-WKY rat (71.5% vs. WKY) and DOCA-SHR (63.7% vs. SHR). Interestingly, the body weight as parameter following physiological growth were significantly decreased in DOCA-WKY rats (7.3% vs. WKY) as well as DOCA-SHR (6.9% vs. SHR). These results suggest that DOCA-SHR animal model might be available for investigation of incidental mechanisms between cardiogenic hereditary hypertension and secondary metabolic hypertension.
