Interplay between histone acetylation and deacetylation is one of the key components in epigenetic regulation of transcription. Two lactic acid bacteria (LAB) designated J02 and J13 were recovered from fermented vegetables based on their ability to suppress soft rot disease caused by Pectobacterium carotovorum subsp. carotovorum (Pcc) on radish.
