Understanding the role of economic, cultural, and social capital and habitus in student college choice

This study builds on economic and sociological perspectives and investigates how forms of capital (i.e., economic, cultural, and social capital) and habitus shape the college-choice process. Using the Education Longitudinal Study (ELS:2002), this study utilizes multinomial logistic regression with fixed effects. In particular, the currnet study examined how news media have selected organizing theme, issue attributes, and story tone in presenting the issue.
