원불교 마음공부에서 ‘대중(大中)’의 의미

본 연구에서는 원불교 교서 및 자료에 사용된 ‘대중(大中)’이라는 표현의 구체적인 의미를 파악하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 「정전」을 비롯한 8가지의 원불교 교서 및 자료에서 ‘대중’이 포함된 총 38개의 항목을 추출하고, 전문가들과 함께 용례 분석을 실시하였다. 분석 결과, 대중은 ‘표준하다, 기준하다’, ‘(어떤) 마음을 갖다, 지키다’, ‘살피다, 알아차리다’, ‘관조하다, 반조하다, 밝게 비추다’의 네 가지 의미를 포함하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 원불교 마음공부와의 관계에서대중은 세 가지 특징이 있는데, 첫째는... -
