High Throughput Screening of Antifungal Metabolites Against Colletotrichum gloeosporioides
The Plant Pathology Journal 7 Pages
4 24-30 (7 pages)
Inhibition of appressorium formation by culture filtrate of A5005 was partially restored by the exogenous calcium. This results suggests that chemicals within A5005 extents its biological activity through disturbance of intracellular Ca2+ regulation during prepenetration morphogenesis by C. gloeosporioides. Together, cell-based and target-oriented screening system used in this study should be applicable for other plant pathogenic fungi prerequisite appressorium formation to infect their hosts. -

the knowledge into target-oriented development of effective agrochemicals. Here we propose that the time is ripe for computer-aided drug discovery/design (CADD) in molecular plant pathology. CADD has played a pivotal role in development of medically important molecules over the last three decades. Now, explosive increase in information on genome sequences and three dimensional structures of biological molecules, in combination with advances in computational and informational technologies, opens... -

While preventive health exams are one of the most important healthcare tools and the main focus of health promotion campaigns around the world, individuals’ responses to such campaigns tend to show disparities among different cultural groups. Noting the significantly lower rate of getting preventive gynecological exams among Asian women, this study examined message-culture congruency effects in the context of a health advertising campaign for preventive gynecological exams targeting Asian... -

Background: The American-Speech-Hearing-Association (ASHA, 2010) position statement asserts that Speech-Language Therapists (SLTs) are involved in the prevention, identification, assessment, and provision of intervention for reading and writing problems, as well as in providing other services such as counselling and information services. The 2007 Ethics and Standards Committee of the South African Speech-Language-Hearing-Association (SASHLA) proposed guidelines on the practicalities of rendering... -

43 Pages
2014, Vol.11 3 75-117 (43 pages)
There have been many studies dealing with the relationships between selfperceptions and the perceptions of advertising. However, research that focused specifically on diet advertising, which has recently seen a dramatic increase in our society, has been scarce. One can assume that people’s perceptions of diet advertising may be influenced by how they think about their own bodies or by the extent to which they compare their own bodies with those of others. For a more comprehensive understanding... -

Asia-Pacific journal of research in early childhood education 2021, Vol.15 No.2 1 1-18 (18 pages)
Research has shown that English literacy instructional practices such as direct teaching of phonemic awareness, phonics, vocabulary, comprehension, and writing are effective for teaching English as second language learners. Previous research on early reading acquisition has focused on phonological awareness?the ability to consciously attend to and manipulate the sound structure of spoken language. Nevertheless, a series of previous studies suggests that children’s ability to match spoken words...
