MTX in the 3 cell lines mentioned and increased by 5-FU in the H460 cell line. The number of CD133(＋) cells was also significantly increased by both 5-FU and MTX treatment in all of the cell lines tested. These results indicate that 5-FU and MTX considerably enhance the expression of drug-resistance related CSC markers in NSCLC cell lines. Thus, we suggest that antimetabolite cancer drugs, such as 5-FU and MTX, can lead to the propagation of CSCs through altering the expression of CSC markers. -

Our results suggest that enhanced expression and activation of p53 was responsible for the upregulation of Bax and the increased sensitivity to apoptosis, which could be reversed by p53 knockdown. To explain the observed upregulation of p53, we propose a downregulation of the ubiquitin ligase HDM2, probably translationally. These findings show the importance of appropriate RCAN1.4 expression in the modulation of cell survival and reveal a link between RCAN1.4 and p53. -

in LTPA and can have positive benefits from regular participation in LTPA. At the same time, there are issues associated with LTPA among elderly in Japan. Besides reaso ns of cessation of LTPA or inactivity thaL former research has addressed, such as lack of interest, health condition, and lack of belief on benefits of LTPA, we suggest that human relations hip and traditional rules in Japanese society are important issues to address for fu t ure development of LTPA among elderly in Japan.
