A case of atresia of the esophagus, with no esophageal communicatio with the trachea, in a 3 days old baby was reported. As far as we know, this type could be seen in 3 to 7 percent of all cases of the esophageal atresia. In this case, the diagnosis was confirmed byesophagography with thin barium meal. Literatures are also reviewed briefly.
