56 cases of Ultrasonograpy in patient with proven pelvic mass were reviewed. Ultrasonophy is a very useful noninvasive diagnostic modality in the patient with clinically suspected pelvic masses giving accurate assessment of the size, location, internal structure and origin as well as its existence. A specific diagnosis was possible in selected patients with ovarian cystadenoma, dermoids, uterine myoma, and H-mole. Nonspecific pattern was common in pelvic abscess and ectopic pregnancy , Diagnostic errors were primarily due to small lesions(2 cm or less in diameter) or misinterpretation of the lesion.
