Carotid space contains the neurovascular bundle lymph nodes and the potential tract of the fistula of the second branchial cleft. We evaluated neck CT scans of 35 cases of carotid space tumors which has been proven pathologically during recent 2 year. There were 4 cases of schwannoma a case of paraganglioma a case of meningioma 6 cases of lymphoma 19 cases of metastatic node and 4 cases of branchial cleft cyst. 1. Schwannoma showed inhomogeneous contrast enhancement with somewhat hypodense areas displacing vascular bundle anterolaterally,. Paraganglioma showed strong contrast enhancement with some low density areas at the bifurcation site of common carotid artery. Meningioma revealed homogeneous contrast enhancement. 2. 88% of nodal lesions showed rimmed contrast ehancement. Metastatic nodes demonstrated irregular thick rim-enhancement pattern compared with lymphoma. 3. The second branchial cleft cyst showed hypodense cystic mass at mandibular angle region.
