배추흰나비(Pieris rapae L.)의 유충 및 용기의 발생 단계에 따른 acid phosphatase의 활성은 4령 말기가 5령 초기보다 높게 나타나고 그후 점차 증가하여 5령 말기에 최대의 활성을 보인 후 용화 후로는 감소하기 시작하였다. Acid phosphatase는 4개의 isozyme으로 구분되었고 그중 Acph$^2$ (acid phosphatase isozyme II)가 주된 효소로 존재하였다. 배추흰나비의 5령 말기 유충에서의 acid phosphatase분포는 중장, 지방체, 타액선 및 혈림프 등에서 확인되었으며, ion exchange chromatography와 gel filtration 및 gel slicing을 통해 정제된 Acph$^2$의 최종 순도는 약 25배에 이르렀다.
The acid phosphatase activities in the late 4th instar larvae were higher than those in the early 5th instar larvae of Pieris rapae. They showed the highest in the late 5th instar larvae and were decreased during the pupal stage. Four isozymes of acid phosphatase were identified and Acph$^2$ (acid phosphatase isozyme II) revealed a major enzyme. The acid phosphatase of the late 5th instar larvae of Pieris rapae was found in midgut, fat body, salivary gland and haemolymph. The find purity of Acph$^2$ was estimated to be 25 fold by ion exchange chromatography, gel filtration and gel slicing.
