Pulmonary arteriography and aortographic evaluations were undertaken in five patients with computed tomography(CT) at Yonsei University Hospital, from Jaunary 1986 to April 1990. The CT findings of hemorrhage were high attenuated peritoneal fluid(12), high attenuation hepatic masses on noncontrast scans(5), and the hematocrit effect in peritoneal fluid(5). The irregular and discontinuous liver border(10), peritumoral hematoma(6), and peritumoral omental infiltration(6) suggested the liver as the organ of the bleeding site. Computed tomography was useful in diagnosis of ruptured hepatocellular carcinoma and can estimate the extent of intraperitoneal hemorrhage.
