For the representation of colors of dyed fabric on a color CRT screen, these colors should be classified with CIE color-order system. In this study, the reflectance of dyed fabric was measured by spectrophotometer with the KO- SCOTE(Korean standard color of textile) and arranged in CIE color system. KOSCOTE that was published by KBS(Korean broadcasting system) is swatch classified with Uunsell color system. Also, the corrected SPDs of CRT were arranged in CIE chromaticity diagram and CIELAB color space, and then compared and matched with the standard dyed fabric. A matching algorithm and a simple matching program were developed. These results indicated that color CRT could represent almost all the color of standard dyed fabric and each of the colors could be conditionally matched using CIE color-order system.
